New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the programme marking the 150th anniversary of Srila Prabhupada ji at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan on Thursday (8th February, 2024). He will also release a commemorative stamp and a coin in honour of great spiritual guru Srila Prabhupada ji.
Acharaya Srila Prabhupada was the founder of Gaudiya Mission, who played a pivotal role in preserving and spreading the fundamental tenets of Vaishnava faith. Gaudiya Mission has played a significant role in propagating the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the rich spiritual heritage of Vaishnavism across the world, making it the centre of the Hare Krishna Movement.
The elementary objective of the Members of the Mission is to learn, assimilate, practice and propagate the spirit and the teachings of the Vaishnava faith as described in the Srimad Bhagvatam, which was also preached and propounded by bhakti saint Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and practiced and taught by the Gaudiya Mission.
The Gaudiya Mission, a spiritual and philanthropic organisation established in 1935, propagates the teachings of Sri Chaitanya and the Vaishnava faith. It has many centres in India and temples in London and New York.
