Bhopal/Seoni : Kunal Goyal told, the dream of seeing Goddess Tigress Collarwali came true . I wish more and more people should come to see the beauty of Pench and enjoy the Forest and most beautiful animal Tiger.
People go to Tirumala and Vaishno Devi, I come to Pench My Pilgrimage, Mother of 29 Tigers, The Collarwali (Mataram) of Pench My dream Tigress, Dream shot Visited 4 times in last 45 days for this moment.
Kunal Goyal came all the way from Hyderabad with my 3 friends with just one thought in our mind, We have to see Collarwali aka Mataram. This is my third visit in the last 45 days, Last 2 times we saw tigers but not Collarwali
Today morning, We entered the gate at 6:30 & asked our driver (Mukesh Soneane) and guide (Vinod Naware) to directly take the vehicle to the area of Collarwali which is basically the centre part of the Park which has more grassland.
We started our search in the Bison Camp area which is part of Collarwali’s territory, at around 7:15 am, We heard spotted Deer and Jingle fowl alarm calls. We followed the alarm calls and after 5 minutes, The Goddess Collarwali appeared from the bushes and started walking on the road.
We clicked 100 plus photos before she again disappeared into the bushes
I have referred Collarwali as Goddess!! Yes she is a Goddess, She is 17+ years of age, Mother of 29 Cubs, 8 litters , Daughter of Badi Mada, Sibling of the another famous Tigress of route 1 Langdi, Sister of Pahad Dev female
This info is enough for us to understand her life and why I referred her as Goddess!!
My guide told me that she was one of the 5 siblings when she was born, Now her daughter “Pahad Dev” recently gave birth to 5 cubs.
Tigress life is extremely difficult, Not only they have to give birth but also take end to end care of cubs for around 18-24 months
Proving them regular food, Keeping them at safe place away from Male Tigers, Teacjing them hunting techniques, Giving away part of their territory and so on
Pench is the number one Tiger reserve of India for many reasons
First and foremost, Special thanks the SDO shri B P Tiwari ji who is a pillar for making the park a huge success. The staff at the gate also needs special mention for the efforts they take to ensure safety during tough times.
