Patna; After registering an FIR in the infamous NEET scam,the Central Bureau of Investigation on Sunday is giving
* top priority” to the exhaustive investigation of the case.
* According to an official of the CBI special teams have been sent to Patna and Godhara after registration of FIR
* Bureau collected documents from the EOU of Bihar police which was investigating the case since May 5 .
As the CBI took over investigation,it’s officers were attacked at Kasiyadih village under Rajauli police station in Nawada district.Four villagers have been arrested.
CBI on Sunday registered FIR against 150 people at Rajauli police station.CBI alleged their two vehicles were damaged by the villagers.
District SP,Rahul Ambarish confirmed the attack on CBI team and said it’s officers were rescued by the enforcement sent from Rajauli.None was hurt.
Rajauli is close to Jharkhand state where Hazaribagh was an epicenter of the scam as booklet and question papers were collected from a school .EOU had arrested six persons from Deoghar in Jharkhand and two from.Ranchi,
where it is alleged five doctors had worked as solvers
The case was handed over to the CBI by the education ministry as the offences took place in Haryana,Gujarat,Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Bihar
According to the FIR,role of public servants of NTA is also being investigated.Government on Saturday evening had removed a Chhattisgarh cadre IAS officer,Subodh Kumar Singh who was DG of NTA.
According to the FIR,over 23 lakh examinees had appeared at 4750 centres,including 14 countries abroad.
