PATNA: National Investigation Agency(NIA) on Saturday filed charge sheet against owners of six placement agencies  at Special NIA court,Ranchi on charges of human trafificking and running illegal placement agencies in New Delhi.
 
Those charge sheeted in the case under different sections of IPC,Inter-state migrant workmen (regulationtion pf employment and  conditions of services)Act,1979 and Juveline Justice(care and protection )Act include a husband-woman duo also.
 
NIA spokesman said the accused had been rjunning  six fake placement agencies 
 in New Delhi and hiring minor boys and girls from Jharkhand.They were denied even wages and exploited.
 
The charge sheet named Panna Lal Mahto ,Ms Sunita Devi , Gopal Oraon  and  Shiv Shankar Ganjhu .The case was initially registered as FIR No. 07/2019 at PS-Ahtu, in  Khunti district , on July 7.2019 in which the accused Panna Lal Mahto(37) of   Ganaloya village of  Murhu police station was the main accused /
 
Later,NIA took over the case and found chain of placement agencies were run by Pana Lal and his associates in New Delhi and adjoining areas..  it was revealed that Panna Lal Mahto, the kingpin of human trafficking racket, along with his wife, Sunita Devi, was operating a human trafficking network in the guise of six Placement agencies in Delhi. 
 
They used to traffic poor and innocent minor boy and girls from Jharkhand on the pretext of providing them jobs in Delhi and neighboring states. However, the victims were exploited and were never paid the promised remunerations.
 
During investigation, two others, Gopal Oraon and Shiv Shankar Ganjhu  were arrested. Both were close associates of the kingpin Panna Lal Mahto , and were actively involved in trafficking vulnerable persons from Jharkhand. Investigation has also revealed that both were owners of three Placement Agencies in Delhi, involved in human trafficking racket.
