Law Kumar Mishra
Rarely,a  judge gets recognition post retirement from the High Court by general public. They are recognised by the government, but not by common man. But,Rakesh Kumar who had superannuated as Judge of Andhra Pradesh High Court four years back, was fondly remembered by the kisana of Amrawati, who were benefitted by his orders. When the retired judge visited Vijaywada last week to attend the swearing in ceremony of a judge, news spread fast, local media persons reached the Guest House, many farmers and women too arrived and profusely felicitated him.He was called People’ s Judge who rose to occupy the position of Judge at Patna High Court_from a humble beginning at Lower and middle class colony of Gardanibagh in  Patna. The no nonsense judge did not hesitate in passing an order to recommend a CBI probe into the working of Registery of his own High Court
When he retired at AP High Court, people stood on their knees with coconuts on the Seed Access  Road to extend Good Bye greetings.
