The 3-day Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) at Gandhinagar concludes with much fanfare

The 3-day Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) – 2024 organised at Mahatma Mandir Convention & Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar in Ahmedabad, the place for the best business opportunities in the travel and tourism industry, concluded on Friday (9th August). Over 900 exhibitors from India and abroad participated in these 3 days of endless networking at Gujarat’s biggest travel trade show which commenced on 7th August. The most sought-after stall at the gala event was the state of Sikkim and it has won the Best Sustainable Tourism Practicing State Award.
An elated Sushma Pradhan, a senior official in the Sikkim tourism department, told this journalist (Shri Ram Shaw) over phone, “Our honourable chief minister Prem Singh Tamang Golay has been relentlessly and extensively working towards making Sikkim a cynosure of all tourists across the country and world. This award is a testimony to that. The state of Sikkim is well-connected by air, road, and rail, making it easily accessible from all parts of India. The nearest airport is in Bagdogra, West Bengal, from where one can take a taxi or a shared cab to reach Sikkim. The capital city of Gangtok is a hub of tourist activity and serves as a gateway to several popular tourist destinations in the state.”

Sushma further said, “Some of the must-visit places in Sikkim include the picturesque Tsomgo Lake, the scenic Yumthang Valley, the enchanting Pelling, the sacred Rumtek Monastery, and the majestic Nathu La Pass. Sikkim is also a hotspot for adventure sports such as trekking, paragliding, river rafting, and mountain biking.”
Saloni Pradhan, another tourism official, said, “Sikkim is a hidden gem that is waiting to be explored by travellers.
