PATNA: Former MLC and senior Janata Dal (United) leader Ranbir Nandan on Friday said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah is conspiring to become the next Prime Minister of the country and sidelining all senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to make way for his accession to the top post.

The JDU leader said that Union minister for Road Transport and highways Nitin Gadkari has been deliberately sidelined by the top BJP leadership. “Amit Shah ignores Nitin Gadkari whenever he goes to Nagpur. It is because Nitin Gadkari is one of the top claimants for the top post after the 2024 general elections,” he said.

Ranbir said that Amit Shah has even disregarded Prime Minister Narendra Modi on many issues and ignored the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). “It is reported that the union home minister has been terrorising senior IAS, IPS and judicial service officers to take undue advantages. He intends to replace the present dispensation,” he said.

The JDU leader said that the union home minister rightly said that many changes at the political level have begun from Bihar. “They should understand that Bihar will once again usher in new phase of politics in the country. The countdown for the fall of the BJP regime has begun from Bihar as opposition parties are coming together under one umbrella in the leadership of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar. People of this country will teach them a lesson in the 2024 general elections,” he added.
